Things Paul was good at

In no particular order... Mowing lawns - He not only mowed ours but his Grandma and Grandad Near's as well. Computers - He set up things on the computer for us, for Phil's work and for the Murder Mysteries;-Police ID cards, photographs of murder scenes... The trouble was he was so fast at showing you things - "you just do it like this" and the cursor zoomed around that you never quite understood how he had done it! Cycling - we always used to marvel at how he thought nothing of cycling all the way to Charlotte's at Sutton on Trent. He seemed to acquire more and more cycles hanging up in the woodstore waiting to catch you everytime you bent down for a log. The endless punctures..... The rolling road - in the kitchen! Rowing - he loved this - the competitevness, the Menai Straits, the adventures. Having to be rescued by a fishing boat when the club boat's engine cut out. The social side. He went back for the Annual Dinners even when he had left Bangor. Unicycling - He must have been about 10? 11? when he suddenly announced he wanted a unicycle for Christmas. When his dad got in touch with a supplier they warned him that it was a very difficult skill to learn - but Paul rode it up and down the hall until he could do it - it only took an hour or so. Being organised - for someone who couldn't keep his room tidy he was always good at organisation. He always got his coursework in early, he liked to think that he had got things DONE. Washing cars - his and ours and his grandads, but especially his Alfa Wrapping presents - they had to have all the joins covered in sellotape and he loved watching you struggle to open them. Being the alibi-breaker for our Murder Mysteries - always willing to have his night out interrupted by some idiot calling him on his mobile.
