We always had a fairly traditional Christmas. Paul and Chris had stockings intil they were grown up. Paul helped us keep Father Christmas going for Chris. Paul was never very good at opening his presents. He would open one and his Dad and I would be eagerly anticipating the next one, but Paul would be quite happy to wait ! When Dave and I split up the boys wouls alternate their Christmas Lucnch each year but we always saw them on Christmas day; until this year. They always had a Thornton's Chocolate Santa ( changed to a Chocolate Car or Champagne Bottle as they got older). It was hard to just buy one this year. And then there was Paul's legendary present wrapping! He adored watching you struggle to open incredibly secure parcels. We still use the knives that he bought (at a discount - always frugal was our Paul )last Christmas.
